Who We Are

CYN Apps is an independent macOS app studio dedicated to building tools that are simple on the surface and powerful underneath. We believe the best productivity apps are the ones you stop noticing — they just work, quietly, in the background of your day.

Every app we ship is designed from scratch for macOS — native AppKit, no web wrappers — because we believe macOS users deserve software that feels at home on their platform.

Our Philosophy

Privacy by default

We do not collect personal data. Your notes, browsing, and usage stay on your device and in your own iCloud account — never on our servers.

Native macOS first

Our apps are built with AppKit and take full advantage of macOS features — iCloud sync, system notifications, Sign in with Apple, and the latest macOS design language including Liquid Glass on macOS 26 Sequoia.

Thoughtful features

We add features only when they genuinely improve the experience. We would rather do three things well than ten things adequately.

Direct relationship

We are a small independent team. When you email us, a real person reads it and responds — usually within 24 hours.

It offers three note types: Text notes for quick capture, Canvas notes for a free-form infinite workspace, and Outline notes for hierarchical structured thinking. Built-in Eisenhower Matrix task management, full iCloud sync, and file attachments make it the most capable sticky notes app on macOS.
